Fringe benefits
The hourly fringe benefit rate published alongside the base rate in a wage determination, which may be expressed as an amount, a percentage of the base rate, or with footnote references.
A wage determination publishes two figures for most classifications: a base hourly rate and an hourly fringe benefit rate. The fringe figure represents the value of benefits such as health, pension and vacation contributions.
The fringe column is not always a plain amount. Determinations publish values such as 3%+14.88 — a percentage of the base rate plus a fixed amount — as well as figures to three decimal places and figures carrying footnote references to notes printed elsewhere in the document.
This archive reproduces those exactly as published and marks them. It does not calculate a percentage into a number, because the resulting figure would be this archive's arithmetic rather than the document's text, and a compliance question cannot rest on that.
